ICAO and IATA

International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) provides regulations for the safe transport of dangerous goods by air based on the recommendations from the UN Committee of Experts (CoE) and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). These regulations are published in the ICAO Technical Instructions.

International Air Transport Association (IATA) provides procedures for the shipper and the operator by which articles and substances with hazardous properties can be safely transported by air on all commercial air transport. The IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations contain all of the requirements of the ICAO Technical Instructions.
